October 14, 2025: New Release – HUGIN 9.7

We are releasing a new version of the HUGIN software (v9.7).

The main new features of HUGIN software in version 9.7 are the introduction of the option to add images to a network and new functionality in the Data Frame. Several new features have been added to both the HUGIN Graphical User Interface and HUGIN Decision Engine as specified below.

HUGIN Graphical User Interface v9.7

The HUGIN Graphical User Interface has been improved with various new features. These include:

• Option to specify group colors using HEX
• Option to plot a single coloumn in the Data Frame
• Fill a column of a Data Frame with a specific value
• Add the calculation of expected utility to a Data Frame
• Add a line representing a constant value to a plot in a Data Frame
• A counter is added to the propagate selected rows function
• It is now possible to navigate to a specific node in the network panel
• Resize interface nodes of an instance node
• Added image labels, which behave like text labels
• Add node as parent to a selected set of nodes
• Other minor improvements

Finally, work has been done to improve the user experience of the HUGIN Graphical User Interface.

HUGIN Decision Engine v9.7

No new HUGIN Decision Engine features in this release, but the RHugin package has been updated.
