Today, we have released new versions of all Hugin products where we have increased our focus on speed, precision and ease-of-use.
The new version of the HUGIN Graphical User Interface is v6.0, and the new version of the HUGIN Decision Engine is v5.3. The main features in this release are: a new platform independent Java based user interface, object-oriented modelling and structural learning.
The New Java GUI: The new Java based user interface is available for Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, and Linux Red Hat.
Object Oriented Modelling Features:
-The Hugin GUI (Graphical User Interface) now includes basic support for object oriented construction of Hugin Knowledge Bases. The object-oriented modelling feature provides a powerful mechanism for constructing models with repetitive structures. Furthermore, the object oriented modelling feature allows the user to work on different levels of abstraction when developing knowledge bases, i.e. top-down, bottom-up or a mix of the two.
-Structural Learning with Expert Domain Knowledge
-The HUGIN Decision Engine (all the API’s) algorithm for learning the structure of a knowledge base from a database of cases now supports pre-specification of domain expert knowledge.
-Enhanced Table Generator. The powerful Table Generator has been extended with new functionality. The abs, ceil, floor, and mod functions and a new distribution have been added.
