Daimler AG uses HUGIN software and services in a RTD project on identification and interpretation of maneuvers in traffic scenarios. Identification and interpretation of traffic maneuvers are expected to become key elements of modern driver assistance systems in the near future. The objective of the project is to demonstrate the feasibility of applying probabilistic graphical models to solve this challenge.
HUGIN is supplying Daimler AG with its products and services to make the RTD process run as efficient as possible. This includes consultancy services on the efficient and effective use of state-of-the-art technology and software tools as well as developing special purpose software and extensions to the HUGIN software tools to meet the needs and requirements of the application.
“The collaboration with HUGIN EXPERT has led to valuable technological and functional insights as well as developments of special purpose software and extensions of the HUGIN tools that enable us to work more efficiently with probabilistic graphical models. This has created significant value for our team”, says Dr. Gabi Breuel, Manager of the research and predevelopment group ”Situation analysis for Driver Assistance Systems” at Daimler AG.
