Through the BIOTRACER project, HUGIN participated in a European Commission sponsored event called 'What's for Lunch' on 20 September 2011. See videos from the day!

The What's for Lunch conference was an event focused on parliamentary decision makers and it was organised by the coordinators of 8-10 major European research projects, which included some of the world's largest food safety research projects in the areas of microbiology, chemistry and food production technologies. It is worth recalling that at the begining of the last decade the European Parliament specifically requested that the Sixth Framework Programme dedicate part of the specific programme budget to food traceability and integrity. The event demonstrated what has been done in this respect and what has still to be done to ensure proper food chain integrity and food security.

One video shows Gary Barker, IFR give a presentation on biotracing (using HUGIN models). The talk is entitled "Biotracing - an initiative for improved food safety and improved risk management - Sources, probabilities and decisions".

Approximately 3:08 minutes into this video HUGIN CEO Anders L Madsen is interviewed on the importance of participating in BIOTRACER.
