- A toolbar with icons for commonly used functions have been added.
- New menu topic "Try in Troubleshooter" that allows you to quickly try out a new model in the Troubleshooter.
- All explanations can now be previewed in a browser window, making it very easy to specify HTML tags for more graphical explanations.
- Full import / export of models using XML is now possible. This makes it possible to specify a model completely outside the Author and then import it.
- A full context sensitive help system has been added to the Author.
- When a different language than English is used, spell checking is turned off.
- It is now possible to update many models from a library in one go. This makes it possible to very quickly update an entire directory structure of hundreds of models from a single library that may have been changed.
- The ability to say that some questions should be fixed with a certain answer, if an action is performed or another question is answered. This makes it easy to quickly answer a set of related questions once a specific action or question is answered.
- When specifying cause probabilities with sliders, it is now possible to lock a subset of them, and adjust the remaining probabilities. In some situations this makes it much easier to specify the probabilities exactly as desired.
- It is now possible to sort by columns in the global cost editor.
- The cost for going into and leaving a submodel can now be specified for each submodel, instead of just an overall value for the entire supermodel.
